What’s been happening:

Upon graduation from Penn State, I taught high school for 45 years in South Central Pennsylvania. I began my career as an agricultural instructor at Forbes Road High School, then moved to Fannett Metal High School and retired in 1993 with 26 years at Chambersburg Area Senior High School. While teaching, I acted as a critic for Penn State student agriculture teachers. During this time, I also became a husband and father and now I am a grandfather. I am the owner of "Go Broke Farm" and I have successfully operated a livestock, field crop, and fruit and vegetable business. In addition to our farm, my wife Shirley and I owned "Lofty Lea Kennel" for over 40 years raising German Shepherds. My other hobbies include hunting, gardening, and antiques. I am a life-long learner and enjoy trying new methods and renewing old ones. As an educator, I've had many successful students, teachers, and farmers. Over the years, I have given back by helping others to become more prosperous in their farming. I've also achieved great personal success and believe I owe much of this to the solid educational foundation and skills I received while attending Penn State. I believe everyday is a gift and I enjoy life to the fullest. I am living my dream.
